English learning in college is to the end for me, but I think it never over for me to study English, and often use it. As followed, there are some suggestions on English learning my college English teacher tell me. May be they are useful for us to learn a foreign language. So I share them with you. If you think they are interest or helpful, please reply me or give me some more exciting ideas. If you think they are not necessary to you, also please reply me or take a smile face to me, OK?
1.What is language for? Some people seem to think it’s for practicing grammar rules and learning lists of words---the longer the words the better. That’s wrong. Language is for the exchange of ideas and communication.
2.A great man once said it is necessary to dill as much as possible, and the more you apply it in real situations, the more natural it will become.
3.Don’t give up. It takes a lot of effort and energy to learn any language. Relax! Be patient and enjoy yourself. Learning foreign languages should be fun.
4.Use a dictionary and grammar guide constantly. Keep a small English dictionary with you at all time. When you see a new word, look it up. Think about the word--use it in your mind and in a sentence.
5.Try to think in English whenever possible. When you see something, think of the English word of it; then think about the word in a sentence.
6.I would also like to learn more about the culture behind the language. When you understand the cultural background, you can better use the language.
That's all. Thak you for your reading and replying.
