As everybody knows that, our country is the old age society which in 1999 enters, at present the national 60 year old of above old age population has reached 143000000, accounts for the total population 11%, for Asian old age population one half. Recently the proportion of older people has increased,it will give negative effect to our society. There are some reasons for this viewpoint.
Firstly, the world of older people has vanished, and they do not understand all of the problems of the modern world. For example , computer is very  popular in the world . But, some old people can not master the computer skills and can not consider  computer as a useful tool.
Secondly, the older generation still controls the power in business organizations, government, and education. It will be an obstacle for young people to make changes in these areas to fit the needs of modern society.  So, the older generations must realize that the world has changed.
Finally, it is easier for old people to become ill. It will cost a lot of money for the family and the children must take care of the old people. It is a heavy burden.
In my opinions, the proportion of older people has increased,it will give negative effect to our society.

The continuous increment of old people's proportion in population is a very dangerous signal to societies, either domestic or alien. This trendency will have great impact on economics， medicare systems and numerous families even with proper policy to cope with.

Opposite to the steady increment of the old people's proportion, the propotion of rich people in this part drops quickly. Getting old before getting rich becomes a common nightmare for those who need to make ends meet after retirement or getting old. Pension system is proven unsuccessful both in china and west contries, and insurance systems are being tested in west countries  while proven totally failure in china. High welfare in some counties also burdens the countries' economics. Almost every country is searching a good solution to abate the problem and no one can claim it could be solved without any disadvantages. How to feed all the old people is becoming the no. 1 issue for an aging world.

When people get old, they get more illness, and when people are dying, the cost to save them always get out of imagination. Medicare system in China failed after the pension/insurance system. Who will pay for the old people's medical cost becomes a huge problem. More and more people have to quit medical care and go to 'heaven' after the family's wealth is depleted on the abyssal hole and leave their families both deep sorrow and heavy debts.

Loneliness looks of less graveness compared with the above problems, yet it doesn't count for little. Most of the old people have no company with them in most of their time, and don't blame the young people, they have to work more for the society needs more wealth to relieve the pain brought by the increasing of the old.  Even though some old people do have enough money to keep their life easy and don't have much ailment, their quality of life is very low. Just like prisoners in a prison which is aboundant of materials, their world of mind is pale.

There's no effective solutions for the aging problems and no government is confident when facing it. Anyway, as long as we are the smartest living things on the earth, as long as we are brave to explore unknown world and have the power of creation, there's hope ahead.

The older population is refers to in the total population because the young population quantity to reduce while the old age population proportion corresponding growth 。
Undeniable, old age truly will give our country society to develop brings the pressure, but we  not only  be see its negative influences, but also  be supposed to see some  positive effects,diligently will excavate the opportunity and the turning point which its behind will contain.There is some reansons as following:

Firstly,the old age industry actually also is the sunrise industry, huge "the silver" which behind the population old age question contains sends the expense market not to allow to belittle.AS "Sliver consumption" market growing, the consumer market is a very broad market prospects.

Secondly,owned by the elderly and the rich experience and skilful technical experience is easy, innumerable social wealth 。Letting Part of the older to return to the market for the elderly, will help alleviate the pressure faced by the social security system, will also help to address the problems of the elderly, "empty nest syndrome" and other psychological problems。

The aging of the population will result in negative effects on a society. Although the
negative effects exist, these problem can be solved by other means. The main factors
are considered as following:

Firstly, the labour source will be lacked in the society, especially for the physical work.
However, this problem can be solved by improving mechanization. The physical work then can be done by robots. Therefore, the age will be no longer a problem in these area.

Scendly, the burdens of the young become higher and higher as the more people retire from their work. Meanwhile, the birth rate is still low in the present world. Hence, the burdens will be more serious in the future. It is time that a new measure be adopted to deal with these burdens. The feasible solution is to improve the living conditions, increase the income of the workers and reduce the living cost. These objectives will be achieved as long as the society fully develops.

Lastly, the aging problem is also a challenge to the medical facility. More older person need a good health care. It needs that the society provide a complete system from home to hospital. Therefore, these facilities will be equipped with amounts of input, which needs the society to develop.

In a word, the aging will bring negative effects, but these problem can be solved by improving the living conditions.

It is a very good and realistic topic. Now I will show my some views to this topic for everybody.
There is no denying the fact that the growth of the proportion of old people is a heated topic today. Some people believe that it will give negative effect to our society. In the first place, more old people take more resources, but at the same time, because their spirit and ability can not go with the development of today’s society, they can not make more money for the society again. Thus, the growth of the proportion of old people, in some degree, has decreased the development speed of society. In the second place, the young people must spend more and more time taking care of their old people.
Others, however, hold the opposite view. They say that the growth of the proportion of old people will not give negative effect to society, but positive effect to society. They also claim that with the development of science and technique, the young people need more time and spirit to work without more time and spirit to take care of their children, but if there are old father or mother at home, they can take care of their little grandchild instead of the young people. At a result, the young have more time and spirit to work for the development of society.
    Weighing the argument of both sides, I am inclined to agree with the former. The old people can help the young to support the children and decrease the difficult of the young. But more old people is not a good thing to the development of society absolutely, the fast development of society need more and more young and ability people. So it will give negative effect to our society.

    Recently the proportion of older people has increased by the time disappearance but I think that it will give two side effect –negative and positive to our society.
    There are some reasons for negative: firstly the older people is lag in mind, at the same time their ability is bad to accept the new knowledge and technology, now, the society development is quickly, the knowledge and technology are updated quickly, so the older people was abandoned early or late. Secondly it is easier for old people to become ill than the young people. furthermore they still controls the power in some organizations, as a result the work efficiency detract. and so on. There are some reasons for positive: firstly the most young people can learn some knowledge and technology to older people, the student leave campus and make for society at once especially, the older people is very self-possession when they solve problem, they never discomposure to face anything. Now the student have a lot of knowledge in university, but they lack of experience, they can learn much experience from the older people after graduation, as a result, the young people make progress with undertaking, and so on.
    But I think that the proportion of older people is increasing now, this is certainly consequence, anybody can not change, the some older people want to adapt to the society, then they must take pains study the new knowledge and technology, then the older people is certain of bring positive effect to society.

It looks like a simple question at the firt glance. The bigger the proportion of old people in our society , the more burden it will bring to our society. The workforce will decrease while the cost of medical care will grow rapidly  as the number of old people grow. These are two main negative effect to our society as the proportion of old people grow.

At second thought, it is unfair to say that the old people is the burden of our society. At least they contributed their entire life to their family , and to our society. According to the WHO, old people refers to those older than 70. Many people older than 70 still contribute a lot to our society. For example , our great leader Deng xiao-ping, and former president of South Africa Manderla did their great job when they are older than 70.

In conclusion, the big proportion of old people may cause negative effect to the economy growth of our society , but the old people are not the burden of our society, the key is how to solve the problem especially health that old age brings to them.

    negative effect ？Who dare to say these words? Maybe most of us who read this theme are young men.But one day (forty or fifty years later) we will become old. At that time, Do you still think the eldly are the burden/have negative effect to the society?
      In  Chinese earliest poem Shi Jing (poem classic): "Our Parents give birth us to this world; They raised us  from a baby to an adult toil and moil; They take care of us and love us from their deep heart; All their life, they have no rest like slave because of us. After we group up, we should love them too; But their effort is so big, even the God do not know how to pay for their seek." (Just abstract)  In  ancient time, our ancestors know our parents have paid out for us too much  and we hve no ways to pay this kindness back. So from early period, people (from governments to the folk societies) abided by the  doctrine of  filial piety. They loved and raised  the oldly  from heart and soul. After thousands years later and entering modern society, how can we think that the oldly have negative effect to the society? If our ancestors had soul, they should glare at us from the heaven.
    In a conclusion, the oldly are the wealth of our society and they have lots of traits for us to learn. Every one should love and respect the eldly. I appear strongly that evey of us take care of our parent and all eldly with all heart!!

Older people are an indispensable part around our society, so we can’t say simply that they are positive or negative. Of course, there are more and more older people with development of society, but this is a social issue that we can’t avoid. Older people are a burden, but a happy burden.

From National view, increased older people need perfect healthy care system. In China, healthy and social insurance are big problems for citizen. Government should take effects to improve medical treatment system, and make out a set of policy to better people’s living level, especially old people.

On another hand, there are many family only have one child. Usually, there are six old people need younger look after. Government should found more and more public place to take care older people.

From person view, everyone should continue our better tradition, and concern older people, whatever they are own parent or grandfather/grandmother or an stranger around us. Respect them, help them, and care their loneness.

Many western countries have earlier come into a society of more senior people. China is walking into such a status especially as the family planning program still going  on. The number of more senior people exceeds that of the new born babies. At the first thought there are an inscreasing number of older people to support and they impose a great burden on not only the families but also on the society. Because they still consume a lot of social resources. But at further thought, why not think about the social problem positively and figure out some ways to minimize its negative impact on the society.
    Firstly, why not postpone their retirement till an even later time. We can see that nowadays with the improvement of the living standard and medical levels most old people still remain robust and active and energetic upon their retirement. So they can stay on the work track and devote more to the families and society with their rich experiece and wisdom. More importantly they can train the young to do the better and avoid the mistakes.
  Secondly, old people's industry has a chance to develop to meet the needs of them.
  In a word, the existence of old people ensure the harmony of the society. They are not a burden but our treasure.

Recently the proportion of older people has increased, I think it will give  negative effect to our society if our government does not take any measure to deal with it.

From the foundation of our country, our leader- Chairman Mao had proposed that we should advocate to produce a higher birth rate. Because at that time, the war just ended, and the number of people was small. If we did not advocate the policy, there would be  no enough persons to develop our economy. So, the policy at that time was right. But with time passing, the policy can not fit the development of our society. So, new leaders began to ristrict the birth. But people who were born at liberation time has been old now, and the number of them is huge. So, the problem si becoming.

I think this will result in a lot of problems. People who were born after ristrict of birth will burden a great pression. Because most of them are the only one child in their family. After their marriage, a young family of two young persons will have to support four old people. This is a great problem. Young people have to work hard in daily life. If they have children, the pression will increase again. The old only can use up our treasure and can not produce any fortune. This will lead to a contradiction between two generations. If it become acute, the stability of society will disappear. So, our government should do a lot to provide enough welfare to support the old.

All in all,there is no problem we can not sovle. Juast face to it!

It has been a reality that the old properties are increasing every year. Will the old people give positive or negative effect to our society? I think it should be analyzed in two sides.
Firstly, I should say the old people are fortune to our society. They had contributed themselves to our society for many years perhaps more than 30 years. They are majoring in some fields and they can help more young persons to get along with their work especially in some technical fields. As we know many famous science and professor are old. The older they are the more wisdom they have. Then they can make progress easier than the young people in some field.
But from another side I should say that old people is the burden to our society. As we know most of the old people retire at home with nothing to do but they will get money from county every month. Then the other people will have to shoulder the expense for the old people. The young people will have to share their part-time to care for their older in every family though the young are so busy in their work. All in a word it will aggravate the cost in finance of the country.
So, whether the positive or negative effect to society the old people will give it is important to control the structure of proportion.

I don’t think that the increasing population of old people will be a social problem and give positive effect to our society.
Firstly, there are over 50 million handicapped people in our country, about 5 percent of the whole population, and they don’t give any positive effect to our society like the old people doing. In fact, at present, the old people just about two times of the handicapped people.
Secondly, we should change the definition of the old people. Up to now, we call a man or women over 60 is an old person. In fact, along with the arriving of technology world and the improvement of standard of living, people over 60 can still participates the construction of our country. At least, in my company, some so called old people are re-engaged, one of them about 68, and sometimes go on errands as the young people. So, if we consider this, then we don’t think the old people will be a problem.
Finally, the old people have devoted their body and mind for the society. When they become old, the young people should shoulder the support responsibility, just as we support our parent. Only in this way, the human’s virtue can then has their existing meanings.
So, when we consider the so called problem of old people, we should not with an eye to the results. In fact, I think we should think it is a natural thing, just like the expansion of our human-selves in this lovely celestial body.

I think that an aging China is something kind of complexity, a reality influencing not only physically, but also mentally. While man become weaker and weaker in physique as getting old, he become more and more sophisticate in thoughts. In a sense, the aging population is a conservative force that could be either a hurdle to the development or a fender to the achievement. And this depends greatly on the policy of the government.
Although core families mushroom in the cities, still in the rural areas families of three or four generation under one roof hold sway in number. In these families, for the good the young pay filial piety as well as obedience to the elderly who naturally play important role in social stability and for the evil the young regard the old as burden. So the governors should devote themselves to create social circumstances in favor of the elderly, especially in urban areas.
Last but not least, I want to give my reason for why I wish our government to guide the attitude towards the elderly for the good. It couldn’t be simpler. Since we all human are bound to getting old. What’s more, man is more easily defeated by mental difficulties than by physical difficulties.

Experts have long been worrying  about the population factors in China. In the past decades, we have been trying every means to control the population increase, and such control has contributed a lot to the high-speed economic development in China.Now, we have new worries, among which is the ever-increasing population of aged people.It is reported that ,in 2000,China has become a Grey-hair Society, where senior citizens over 60 take up 10 percent of the whole population.It is estimated that in 2020,this figure will surmount 20 percent.Such a natural trend brings more negative effects to the development of the society.
    First, it will put more economic pressure on the government. As  aged people retire normally at 60 or so, more aged people need more money and natural resource to support them.Old people are more vulnerable to illness . So more money should be spent to guarantee their medical care.This is surely a very huge expense for the government.
   Second, these old people will also put great pressure to their family.Because of the present  population policy, a married couple usually have four old people and one child to support.So, we often hear middle-aged people complaining about the heavy burden on their back.When the working force has to set aside more energy to take care of the old, they certainly produce less wealth for the society.
   Besides those economic problems the old population may create, a lot of social problems will also emerge.Since their children have to work hard to support the family,  they have less time to accompany the old. So old people are always lonely.What's more, the society seems to pay less attention to these people, who deserve respect and loving care by  the society and their family.These factors always hurt old citizens more than other factors do.
   In a word, we have to face all the challenges brought by this Grey-hair Era.We should work out measures to solve this social problem to ensure sustainable development and  create a fair and harmonious society.

Women make up the majority of the over-60 population in many countries. A large part of their economic contribution is through household and informal economy activity with the effect that they often benefit less from pensions. Social security schemes are particularly relevant to women workers whose entitlements can otherwise be very low due to low pay or to part-time jobs which are often interrupted by family responsibilities and unemployment. Yet, older women provide an indispensable contribution to the economy and society as they are often the primary care providers. Women over 60 who have lost their partners greatly outnumber their male equivalents. Women's inheritance rights are poorly established in many societies and widows are often denied access to their husbands financial resources.
The vitality of our societies increasingly depends on active participation by older people. A central challenge is to promote a culture that values the experience and knowledge that come with age. The overall aim is to foster the economic and social conditions that allow people of all ages to remain fully integrated into society, to enjoy freedom in deciding how to relate and contribute to society, and to find fulfilment in doing so.

As we know, China's successful family planning policy has achieved favorable results in its efforts toward a low birth rate. But it also led to an increasing portion of aging population.

Since the opening up to the outside world in the 1970s, our country’s economy developed rapidly. Now our country has become the world's factory. A key basis for the economic growth is the sufficient supply of cheap workers in our country. Due to the increasing aging population, in the not too distant future labour shortages will emerge in our country and undermine the rapid development of economy.

The aging population poses a serious challenge to the support for the elderly, social security, social welfare and services. The number of the aged being supported by every 100 working persons rose dramatically. More and more chinese families change to 1-2-4 structure, which means 1 child, 2 parents, 4 grandparents.Young people must spend more time and money in supporting and taking care of the elderly members of their families.

Therefore, I think the increasing aging people will give more negative effect to our society.
